| Premium Perlite is used extensively in horticulture.
Various grades can be used for the propagation of plants. Depending on
the water holding capacity and the air porosity required, a specific grade
is chosen.. Our representative can help you with the correct choice for
your application. Premium Perlite is used for hydroponics of many plants
including tomatoes, strawberries, roses, wheatgrass, cucumbers, lettuce
and many others. |
| A rule of thumb for choosing the correct grade of Premium
Perlite is the finer the Perlite the better water holding capacity you
will achieve, and the coarser the Perlite the better air porosity. Some
plants prefer more air where others prefer greater water holding capabilities. |
| A new concept that we have introduced to the market recently
is Premium Perlite packaged in 1100x150x100mm grow bags for the hydroponic
industry. They are branded under the name of Premium Hydro-Perl
grow bags. Premium Perlite is packaged in 100L polypropelyne bags containing
a plastic inner liner to ensure product integrity until it is used. Premium
Perlite is a STERILE, INERT, pH neutral product that will not break down,
decompose or carry any pathogens unlike other types of media used in horticulture.
This comes about due to our furnacing processes where by the perlite ore
is heated up to approximately 1000° c prior to travelling along a
closed stainless steel air system to a screening plant and a dust controlled
bagging off point. |
